A very special place
The Oceanview Camp and Conference Centre has been used mightily by God over the past thirty years to spread the gospel to boys and girls. We realise that for many, Oceanview is a very special place, where many have come to know the Lord, been taught from God’s Word and been discipled in their faith.
We want to ensure that Oceanview continues to grow and develop so that it can continue to be used to share the gospel with boys and girls of the next generation. We understand that this cannot be done alone; we need you to get involved and partner with us.
Supporting Oceanview
Prayer
The most important way of supporting Oceanview is through your prayers. We know that there is no success or fruit in ministry without prayer. Below are some prayer points for the upcoming months that we would really appreciate you laying before the Lord.
Please pray:
- That God would work mightily over the summer, and that those who come to Oceanview unsaved would put their trust in the Lord as their Saviour.
- That God would put His hand of protection around Oceanview and that He would protect the campers, volunteers, and us over the summer.
- Pray for strength and energy as Shane and I serve the Lord here in Oceanview, and that our service and witness would point to the Lord.

Finance
Practically, the ongoing work of Oceanview needs financial support to continue and develop. If God has laid it on your heart that you would like to partner with Oceanview in this way, there are a few ways you can get involved.
General Support
With a camp centre of this size that is in constant use throughout the year, there are obvious ongoing costs, maintenance and salaries to be covered. We rely of camp fees and generosity of God’s people to meet these needs. We are so thankful to God, who has faithfully met our needs and those of Oceanview.
If you feel led to support Oceanview, either through a one-off donation or regular giving to the work, it would be very much appreciated.
Special projects
We are always looking for ways to develop Oceanview to provide the best possible experience for the camps and weekend residentials that happen here during the year. These are two special projects we would like to bring to your attention. We would deeply appreciate it if you would partner with us as we seek to develop Oceanview further.
We would like to continue to develop the outdoor space at Oceanview, giving camps and weekends more options while they are on site. We are looking at a range of activities, such as archery, frisbee golf, mini golf, and larger play equipment. No camp or weekend at Rossnowlagh is complete without a visit to the beach. However, a recurring problem is the sand brought back to the centre, which can cause problems with drains and plumbing. We want to build a couple of warm water outdoor showers to alleviate this.
£0 raised of £15,000 target
While the ovens we have at Oceanview have served us well over the past 30 years, we want to update one of them by adding a new combi oven to the kitchen. The new oven, apart from being more efficient, would also be better suited to baking and preparing desserts for camp, making it a more versatile tool to complement the ovens we already have.

Sophie & Shane
Hi there! We are Shane and Sophie McHugh, and we have the joy of managing Oceanview Camp and Conference Centre. It has now been four years since we moved to the Centre, and the time has absolutely flown! We had no idea of the direction God would take us in when we got married in August 2021. It’s clear to see now, looking back, how the Lord had it all arranged before we even heard about Oceanview! Our role here is to cater for the camps that stay, keep the Centre clean, carry out indoor and outdoor maintenance, manage invoices and food stock, as well as making sure the Centre is fit for purpose and ready for inspections.
It has been such a blessing to look after such a special place and to host the camps that come each year. We get to share fellowship with believers from all over the country and have really enjoyed seeing so many children come to the camps, hear the gospel, form lasting friendships, and have fun! Oceanview has been a place where so many have committed their lives to Christ, and this is the motivating factor that keeps us joyful in the work. Thank you so much to each one who has supported the Centre in any way down through the years. Whether that was through praying, giving financially, giving your time, sharing your expertise, or offering a word of encouragement, it has been so appreciated.
