Back in 1937, the founder of CEF, Mr. Overholtzer, had a dream. He envisioned an army of children’s evangelists circling the globe with the good news of the gospel.

Today in Europe, CEF has an army in the region of 600 workers reaching approximately 2,500,000 children with the gospel message! However, at present approximately 300 of these workers have a financial shortfall—that’s why we need your help.

Q: How do 600 workers reach so many children?
A: Each worker has a team of people helping them!

MARIA & TATYANA'S
STORY

When the war broke out in Ukraine, we were together with the whole team for our annual workers conference. It was important that we knew everyone was taken care of and had a place to stay. Some workers were able to return home, but others needed to find accommodation away from the front line.

After arranging accommodation for the team members from the east, I woke up the following morning to two workers who announced that God had laid it on their hearts to return by train to the children they cared for and wanted to reach with the gospel. I couldn’t change their minds—and I knew there was no point even trying. While many people were boarding trains in the opposite direction, these two determined missionaries were heading towards the war zone, towards the dear souls they were called to reach with the gospel message. And so they went.

A few months ago, while they were living in this dangerous area, their home was completely destroyed, and so they moved back to live in the national office with their father, who has since gone to be with the Lord.

They have told me, “As long as there are children who need to hear the Gospel, we will stay in this country.”

Even though they are living in the office, they travel regularly to visit “their” children.

Your support for the Shortfall ministry enables these two ladies—Maria and Tatyana—to continue serving the children who need the Gospel. Thank you for your support!
