Isabella Lilias Trotter was born into a wealthy and Godly family in London in 1853. She worked for the Welbeck Street Institute leading a women’s Bible class and teaching foreign languages, singing and sewing. In 1888 Lilias followed God’s calling to go to serve in Algiers in North Africa. to tell Muslim people about the Lord Jesus Christ.
This lesson based on the life of Lilias Trotter teaches children that God is a faithful God who will “never leave or forsake” His children. Lilias’ life proved, time and time again, that her God was with her as she sought to follow Him.
Mission is the responsibility of all believers and this lesson will help as we teach our children effectively about mission, to equip them for opportunities they may encounter both now and in the future.
