JuniorYouth
Challenge (JYC)
Junior
Youth Challenge
(JYC) is for young people aged 11 - 15. There are currently around
40 Junior Youth Challenge groups throughout Northern Ireland and
in various parts of the Republic of Ireland. Please
e-mail us
for details of JYCs in your area. Most of these meet fortnightly in
a home or hall. The programme at each meeting usually includes a Bible
lesson, quiz and missionary spot, and perhaps also singing and games.
The Bible Lessons are based on a five-year cycle of lessons which has
been written specifically by Youth Challenge to meet the needs of this
age group. JYC Leaders from across Northern Ireland meet twice each
year for training, prayer and fellowship. As well as the regular meetings
there is also an annual JYC Sports Night, a Missionary Rally and a
series of JYC Weekend camps.
JYC
Weekends
These
weekend camps are not only for members of JYC groups, but are open
to all young people aged 11 – 15. They are held at the CEF camp centres
in Kilkeel and Rossnowlagh, mostly from late January to March. Weekends
cover all the CEF areas in Northern Ireland. The programme includes
sports, Bible studies, games, parties, quizzes and music. Please
e-mail us
for details of the JYC Weekend for your area.
