The 2006 Annual Meeting saw the launch of the “Year of the Good News Clubs” with several hundred joining the congregation at Lurgan Baptist Church.
Over the past number of years the number of Good News Clubs around Ireland had fallen and so a special effort was required to begin to build again for the future. With this came the opportunity to look not only at what we were doing but how we presented the work to potential new teachers and supporters. With the help of a graphic designer, a whole new range of materials was created to promote the work and everyone seemed very pleased with the final result.
A lively colourful booklet was distributed to those attending the meeting and everyone had the opportunity to see, at first hand, the range of promotional materials to be used this incoming year. One of the main items on display was the new starter pack and thanks to the very generous collection of over £1800 the packs will be given free to new Good News Club teachers.
Looking to the future, we pray that the Lord of the harvest will raise up new Good News Club teachers to reach out to the children of Ireland. Please pray with us!
